Every part of Vancouver
We pour all over the city and the areas around it: Cascade Park, Fishers Landing, Mill Plain, Orchards, Evergreen, downtown, Hazel Dell, Salmon Creek and Felida. Most jobs are a short drive from us, so estimates and pour days are easy to set up.
Concrete work for Vancouver homes
Most of our work is for homeowners: a new driveway in front of the garage, a walkway up to the front porch, a patio out back or a slab along the side of the house. We also pour foundations and slabs for garages, shops and sheds, and retaining walls for yards that slope.
Every job starts with a free estimate at your house. Tevita measures, looks at the grade and the drainage, and talks through the finish you want. You get a price before any work is scheduled.
Concrete in Vancouver weather
Vancouver gets most of its rain from October to May, and a few hard freezes most winters. Concrete here has to drain well and stand up to water. That means a compacted base, the right slope away from your house and joints in the right places. It also means planning pour days around the forecast.
Older homes and newer ones
In the older parts of town, around downtown, Hazel Dell and Mill Plain, a lot of driveways and walkways are decades old. They’ve cracked, sunk at the joints or been lifted by tree roots. Those get torn out and poured again on a new base, often a little wider than before.
Newer neighborhoods out toward Fishers Landing, Felida and Salmon Creek tend to have the opposite problem: the house came with a small patio or none, a narrow side yard of mud and a driveway with no room for a third car. A patio out back, a side yard slab and a driveway extension finish the lot.
Permits in Vancouver
Driveways, patios and walkways on your own lot often don’t need a permit. A new driveway entrance at the street, a sidewalk, a foundation or a tall retaining wall usually does. Inside city limits that permit comes from the City of Vancouver. Hazel Dell, Salmon Creek and Felida sit outside city limits, so there it comes from Clark County. We’ll tell you at the estimate if your job needs one.

Common questions in Vancouver
Do you pour concrete all over Vancouver?
Yes. We’re based in east Vancouver and pour driveways, patios, walkways and walls in every part of the city, plus Hazel Dell, Salmon Creek and Felida.
Can you pour concrete in Vancouver in the winter?
Yes, on the right days. Concrete can be poured in cool weather as long as it’s kept from freezing while it cures. Heavy rain on pour day means moving the pour.
Who issues permits for concrete work in Vancouver?
The City of Vancouver inside city limits, and Clark County in places outside them, like Hazel Dell, Salmon Creek and Felida. We’ll tell you at the estimate whether your job needs one.
Can you widen my driveway in Vancouver?
Yes. Adding width on your own lot is usually simple. Making the entrance wider at the curb usually needs a permit from the City of Vancouver, or from Clark County outside city limits. We’ll tell you at the estimate.
